See more in my photo album!! 去年博士課程を終えられたサトシさんがGraduation Ceremonyに出席するためにヨークに帰ってきた。今回はご両親も一緒だ。ちょうど去年の6月ごろに彼のAfer Viva Partyをやってからもう一年、早いものです。　（Viva･ヴァイヴァとはアメリカではDefenceとも言い、博士論文についての口頭試問のこと。これが終わって晴れて博士課程が終了となる）今回はサトシさんと同じEnvironment DepのJanとトヨさんをはじめにバンド演奏もした。僕もこないだ買ったボンゴを叩いた。上の写真は、活き活きとした演奏の瞬間を捉えている気がして、すごく好き。それにしても、サトシさんもご両親もすごく嬉しそう。　本当におめでとうございます！

そうです。 僕は、なぜか分からないけど、これまで映画をあまり観てこなかったような気がします。 テレビでやってる吹き替え映画と、あとはものの10本も劇場で観たかどうか。こんな具合でした。 特に日本の映画というのは、宮崎駿の数本を除いてほとんど見たことが無くって、劇場で観たといったら「東映マンガ祭り」の類と「七人のオタク」とか「マリリンに会いたい」とかそれくらいだった訳です。　（あ、けどこないだALWAYS三丁目の夕日観ました！） つまり黒澤明とか小津安二郎とか、文字通り全く知らなかったんです。 で、これが意外に恥ずかしいんです。というのも、まずもって映画の話題は十中八九着いて行けない。しかも、結構イギリス人も含めてヨーロッパの人はクロサワとかオズを好きな人もいたりする。そういう話題が時に挙がったりすると、僕は日本人の割には何も知らないなぁ、と今更ながらに気付かされたりするんです。 もちろん

“サウンド･クリエイターINOSIS”ことイノッチのウェブサイトから。何だか考えたり、悩んだりするポイントが確実に変わってきた。おぼろげに"空気感"とか"隙間"という意味が分かってきた気がする。そんなことを考えて音楽を聴いたり、イベントを見たり、そしていろんな人と話すると、自分が”自然体”になれる。偶然の出会いも、仕事も、出来事のすべて"自然な流れ"で巡ってくる。ここ５年くらいかかって、やっとそう思えるようになった。今の気持ちで生み出す曲は、きっといいモノができるに違いない。自分を追い込まず、焦らず、自然体にするように心がけること。自然体になれるような環境を作っていくこと。(逆に自然体になれない場合にすごく乱れます。。)最近気が付いたのですが、僕は自分の指導教授やライバルでもあり友人でもある学部の友人たちの前で、知らぬ間に相手のご機嫌を窺ったり、何か自分を作り込んだりしていました。

Legal perchments are often kept in a box being rolled up like this. It's quite big isn't it?? I don't really know why they are so big!I took one out of the roll. The perchment are much thicker than our usual sheets of paper, and hard to bend. What is surprising about their way of using perchment in C18 is first that the lack of indentation. I have to finish an outline and summary of the chapter today. In order to do this, I have to make sure what I have done (and am going to do) is directly relevant to the goal of the day.

I visited Brimham Rocks yesterday, which is near Ripon, North Yorkshire, about an hour away from the city of York. We drove there by Yoshi's car. Next thing I have to do is to write the third chapter of my dissertation, the length of which will be approx. 4000-4500 words. I can only afford to spend two weeks for it, so that I will be able to get everything done afterwards. The deadline is fixed on Friday 27th Aug. 5 p.m. (Supervision is on 30th Mon.) For me, it is crucial to recognize that I shouldn't keep writing untill Friday afternoon.

I have just submitted a document to my supervisor as the first draf of the second chapter of my dissertation.
